Merry Christmas season everyone! To celebrate all the holiday festivities, every day in December I’m posting a review on a Christmas book. I hope you all join me this December to enjoy some fun and seasonal cheer.
We all remember our favorite toys from our childhood. That special toy, the teddy bear we fell asleep with at night, our doll who became our best friend. Rocking Horse Christmas tries to capture that mood by showing the journey of a boy’s toy from the childhood days of his boy to his disuse when his boy becomes a man to his rediscovery when the boy’s child saves him from a forgotten fate. This book will pull on your heartstrings in the same manner of films like Toy Story by making you want to run home and grab your favorite toy.
I really enjoyed this book as it was well illustrated and well-written. Part of what I love about this art is that it was actually hand-painted and well-done in that venue. Again, the story is very sentimental and is a reminder of your favorite childhood memories. Definitely a great read that I recommend.
