For owl and Ga’Hoole fans, here comes the exciting tale of battle-hero Lyze of Kiel.
Lyze was born without his parents. His only sibling died in war and both his parents are horribly battle-scarred. War is his destiny, yet to Lyze the natural world is more fascinating. From birth, there is a constant curiosity inside him. As a young chick he is restlessly watches the slow flight of his neighbor, the Snowy Owl, Moss. As a fledgeling, he is usually exploring. Off to train as a cadet, Lyze makes friends and enemies at Dark Fowl; until he discovers a nefarious plot. Suddenly, he and his friends are plunged into war and turmoil. Lyze will find love, sorrow, and great betrayal.
This was very bittersweet and exciting. I highly recommend it.
